Dr. Youngerman’s research aims to improve surgical outcomes and quality of life for patients. He is a translational neuroscientist, working to advance new neuromodulation technologies for epilepsy, movement disorders, and other treatment refractory conditions. He also uses clinical informatics to promote patient safety and quality improvement. He received a Masters of Science in Patient-Oriented Research from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, is actively involved in New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s Department of Quality and Patient Safety, and is Vice-Chair of Neurosurgery’s National Quality Council. He is a KL2 Scholar, has published dozens of articles in leading, peer-reviewed journals, and presented at prominent national meetings.
